When purchasing a commercial iron, you should consider the following factors:
-
Power: Look for an iron with a high wattage, typically around 1500 watts or higher, for efficient heating and quick recovery time.
-
Size: Consider the size of the iron, as well as the size of the soleplate. A larger soleplate will cover more surface area, making ironing faster and more efficient.
-
Weight: Heavier irons are generally more durable and long-lasting, but they can also be tiring to hold for extended periods of time.
-
Temperature and steam control: Look for an iron with adjustable temperature and steam settings, so you can use it on different types of fabrics.
-
Durability: Look for a commercial iron that is built to last and can withstand heavy use.
-
Additional features: Look for additional features like a built-in water reservoir, a retractable cord, and a self-cleaning function.
-
Brand reputation: Look for a brand with a good reputation in the market, and if possible check customer reviews of the product before you buy.
-
Price: Commercial irons can be expensive, so be sure to compare prices and features of different models before making your purchase.

Maintaining & Descaling…
A commercial iron can be descaled using a similar method to a home iron. One way to descale a commercial iron is to fill the water reservoir with a solution of descaling solution or white vinegar and water.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the ratio of solution to water, and the recommended descaling process. Turn the iron on to the highest heat setting and allow it to steam for the recommended amount of time.
Then turn it off, unplug it and let it cool down. Empty the reservoir and rinse it thoroughly with clean water. Wipe down the soleplate of the iron with a damp cloth to remove any remaining residue.
Repeat the process if necessary. It is also important to follow the manufacturer's instructions for descaling and maintaining the iron.
