Whoever designed the tumble drier never had ironing in mind.
Overly dried bedding, shirts, etc. are almost impossible to iron with a perfect finish, yet people still dry their washing so its almost crispy. The ideal drying time is such that your garments should be slightly damp – that is if you want to iron them.
Also, tumble driers are expensive to run, are not environmentally friendly and there are other alternatives to drying.
Hang your washing on a line or dry naturally over a clothes airer. They’ll be easier to iron, use no energy and they’ll smell fresher too.
